The Uniden BCD436HP is a digital handheld scanner. It is the first scanner to incorporate the HomePatrol-1's ease of use in a traditional handheld scanner. This mobile scanner also has Uniden's exclusive Close Call® RF Capture feature, GPS Connectivity, Extra-Large Display, Radio System Analysis and Discover Modes putting the most advanced scanner features ever right in the palm of your hand.

This radio is compact and features Weather Alert technology and has multi-site system support. In addition, it also has location-based scanning, fire tone-out alert and USB connectivity.

This scanner has it all!

My old tabletop scanner finally kicked the bucket and knowing that I wanted to go with a more portable option, the first replacement I seriously considered was the Uniden Bearcat BCD436HP Digital Handheld Scanner. I liked the fact that this scanner has everything you need in one conveniently-sized portable package, including the enhanced dynamic memory and USB connectivity capabilities. After receiving my new handheld scanner, I am incredibly well pleased. This scanner has it all, from an LCD screen that is easy to read to recording and playback features, which is great when I can't keep the scanner with me.

Awesome customer service and even better scanner

I am an owner-operator truck driver, so keeping tabs on everything when I am on duty is crucial, but with more than one truck, I need a scanner that is portable enough to pack with me from vehicle to vehicle in a pinch. I called about this scanner after receiving it because I couldn't quite get the PC programming and control feature, and I received superior customer service. The guy I spoke with took his time to walk me through the process and now I have the Uniden Bearcat BCD436HP Digital Handheld Scanner routed and controllable through my PC.

Super low price for how incredibly high tech it is!

I volunteer for the local fire and rescue department and invested in the Uniden Bearcat BCD436HP Digital Handheld Scanner because it was one of the most affordable handheld scanners I could find, including shipping. For the price I paid, I was astonished at all the high-tech features of this device. The purchase included everything I could possibly need, from an antenna to a car charger to use when I am on the go. I would recommend this scanner to anyone due to its great value.
