Uniden Bearcat HOMEPATROL-2

The Uniden HOMEPATROL-2 is a simple programmable color touchscreen scanner. All you need to do is enter your zip code or city and the scanner will listen for transmissions in your area. It lets you to monitor all of the major types of communications systems used by public safety like fire, police, ambulance, weather and more. It also allows you to specify the area that you need to hear any alerts that may be Weather, Civil, Biological, Nuclear, or National in nature.

The HOMEPATROL-2 is easy to mount on vehicles and receives all unencrypted, non- proprietary radio systems including APCO-25 Phase I and Phase II digital, Motorola, EDACS, LTR, conventional analog and P25 digital channels. The scanner is equipped with a headset jack so that you can connect a set of headphones and listen.

Comes jampacked with everything you need!

I was a little skeptical about the size of the Uniden Bearcat HOMEPATROL-2 Touchscreen Scanner when I first spotted it, but I gave the company a call to get more information and immediately changed my mind. Whoever I spoke with was more than happy to go through a detailed description of the product to help me make a decision. This portable scanner may be compact, but it comes with everything that is needed right out of the box and the easy-to-use interface makes this unit a breeze to operate when you are in a hurry. Additionally, I like the idea of having the incorporated NOAA weather radio available for my drivers and a touch-screen display that is easy to read from a distance.

Perfect buy for my company

When I needed a portable scanner for my small trucking fleet, I wanted a design that could easily be swapped out between vehicles and the Uniden Bearcat HOMEPATROL-2 Touchscreen Scanner fit the bill. The small size is perfect for busy drivers and the LCD touch-screen display makes navigation an easy feat. I especially like the fact that these scanners can be used for monitoring emergency communication in the area with just the push of a button and all of my drivers have said the same.

Such a good investment

The Uniden Bearcat HOMEPATROL-2 Touchscreen Scanner has been one of the most logical investments in my trucking company to date. This compact and portable scanner is just the right size for use in a vehicle, whether it is a big rig or smaller truck and using the device is easy. I was impressed with the fact that this scanner was one of the most inexpensive to obtain and have shipped and yet it still offers so many high-tech features, such as the quick record and playback and USB connectivity.
