A well made HEAVY unit. I was expecting to use my outdoor scanner antenna from my previous scanner. NOT SO! This unit picks up radio transmissions from considerably more sites than I care about with the supplied antenna�. As others have said, the owners manual is awful. It tells EVERYTHING about the scanner but NOT how to customize it for your particular needs. The WiFi Dongle could be great, it just needs some work. Range could definitely be better and the app looks like it was just rushed to market. It still beats anything else out there! At this writing, it's all their is. This IS an expensive scanner and I completely enjoy it. No regrets on the purchase at all. Just be patient, customize it, and sit back for some pleasant listening experiences.

This unit is so easy to program with just your zip code. Put it in and you are ready to go. I am receiving signals from forty miles away with clear reception in my house. I added the 20 watt speaker and its great. Great unit at a good price. RL Wis.

Still requires some programming but overall best price for sure.
